Manic May!

Yes, a little duff for a blog title isn’t it, but this month, May, is the month my summer madness kicks off. Well, the hayfever is already here, ready to cause me untold pleasure (please insert sarcasm here), but will peak mid June, when the lavender blossoms…

Spring is definately here, cue little children running around like loons, arms flailing in the air screaming everytime something buzzes near them…
Oh, please don’t get me wrong, I love Spring. I love summer, it’s just that 3 weeks of weather/nature indesciveness that means someone with a seasonal illness needs to plan medicines and sleep plans (worst time of year for my insomnia) lives literally day to day….and I’m way too much of a control freak for that! I’ve just had to spend a week in bed seriously ill, and it drove me insane, but when you can’t physically move what else is there to do….

Oh and can someone point out where all that lovely fresh green grass has disappeared to? Oh yes, it’s under the sea of Dandelions. However, having only just turned May the whole garden is still too sodden to get it cut down…So give it a week, and I’ll have white cloud fluff and what will then (Ironically) turn in to a lovely day which I have to lock myself inside, or indeed brave the garden, breathing apparatus et al.

But I have to say, once these next 3 weeks are out of the way, My summer programme of work should be about settled, I’ll be celebrating my daughters 6th Birthday (as I said when I sent Daddy a very grown up picture of the little miss, can you believe it’s been 6 years since we created her?), My Jubilee weekend parties, somewhere in there a hen night, then my INSERT AGE HERE birthday party, then a wedding weekend (need to get with the planning there, I need a dress, eek!), and then festivals, a camping holiday, few trips to Newcastle (That ones up in the air). Oh yes, AND WORK.

Looking at my diary, I’ve sat down and culled projects that I just don’t have time for, and have a couple of things coming up, so you’ll see the website get a bit of a revamp over the next few days, as I dot a few I and cross a few Ts…

Be back soon, you know me ;)

  1. Hi Claire!
Love your Blog, so true on SO many levels!
Just one thing though, that Hayfever of yours, would love to help you out!!! There’s lots of things you can do to help, and remedies to take that can work REALLY effectivly…worth a try, and healthier for you than the stuff you get from the pharmacy!
Drop me a line if you’d like to know more.
